Book Review: Share the Bounty

A long while back, I received the e-book version of Share the Bounty: Finding God's Grace through the Spirit of Hospitality.  The book is a beautiful meld of recipes and inspiration.  It's also visually pleasing.  From gorgeous pictures of the recipes featured in this book to beautiful pictures of welcoming kitchens and rooms.  This book feels like HGTV and Food Network got together and created a book that centers on good food and faith.

As I paged through this book I saw plenty of recipes that I would certainly like to try.  After reading through the ingredients and the steps to make them, I determined that this is a cook book that even people like myself who don't do a lot of cooking can handle.  Unlike many cook books I've read recently, most of the items required for these desserts and dishes are easily found in a local grocery store.  That's important to me because I hate finding a recipe that I know I want to try and discovering that some of the ingredients aren't readily available at the local grocery store.

The book is filled with lots of scripture and inspirational quotes that will help you to focus your heart and mind on creating a spirit of hospitality.  I like the mixture of recipes and inspiration.  It makes the book about more than just cooking good food.
