Small Successes-September 8th

FaithButton

Celebrating the little things in life that add up.

1. Today is the first day of school.  Madeline was up bright and early and the middle school bus whisked her away at 7:37AM.  Then shortly afterwards it was time to take Ellie to the elementary school for her first day of first grade.  It's so hard to believe that I have a fifth grader and a first grader.  Here's hoping they have a great first day of school.

2. I got all the school supplies for Madeline and Ellie labeled with their names over the past few days.  What sounds like a rather simple thing is really a bit of a pain in the rear process.

3. After much forgetfulness, I finally remembered to buy pocket folders for my religious ed students.  I can't tell you how many times I looked at the pocket folders in Target over the past two months and wondered why I thought I needed them.  Then it hit me on Monday night that I needed them for my class.  Of course, by then it was a bit of a fiasco finding them since most of the school supply aisles in our local stores are bare.

So there you go, I spent the past week preparing for school to start and the kids are now officially in school.
